The Accommodation

A cosy, romantic cottage with country views, this was our first ever rescue project (in 2001) and a 2010 'refurb' sees it with all modern furnishings. Extra photos here. Ffynnon-Oer is located on a country road in the Aeron valley just a short drive inland from the famous West Wales coast. Enjoy a remarkable original rustic interior and open country views in this traditional 'croglofft' cottage where the bed is up steep steps on a mezzanine gallery overlooking the main living space. See some holiday snaps of this ancient Welsh cottage. Still not convinced? Click here to see the local coast as captured in an amateur video. It really is magic.

Disgrifiad Cymraeg / Welsh Description

Bwthyn rhamantus, cynnes a golygfeydd gwledig. Yn berffaith i ddau berson - 9 milltir i fewn o arfordir adnabyddus Gorllewin Cymru yn Nyffryn Aeron. Wedi ei adeiladu cyn 1750, mae'r bwthyn yma yn mwynhau cynlluniad mewnol gwreiddiol o'r ddeunawfed ganrif, y brif ystafell yn ymestyn 5 medr lan hyd y to derw gwreiddiol. Dyma'r bwthyn'croglofft' hanfodol draddodiadol lle mae'r gwely wedi ei leoli i fyny'r grisiau serth ar aleri mesanin, yn edrych dros yr ystafell fyw. Mae hyn yn adlewyrchu teimlad o le agored, yn gytyn a'r golygfeydd syfrdanol a welir o'r ffenestri a'r drysau Ffrengig. 15 munud (naw milltir) mewn car i'r traeth a'r harbwr yn Aberaeron (bwydydd-mor ardderchog); neu ymlaciwch yn yr ardd a mwynhau'r golygfeydd rhyfeddol.
