Tŷ'r Gof (The Blacksmith's Cottage) is a traditional West Wales 'croglofft' cottage in a lovely rural location just a 12 minute drive from the sandy beaches of Llangrannog or Penbryn. A small and simple rustic home, this cottage is ideal for romantic breaks for two. It sits on a quiet road in a small hamlet a five minute walk from Rhydlewis village (shop, salmon smokery etc). Choice of great Blue Flag award beaches within 15 minute drive, or good country walks from the door. Click here here to see the local coast, or to see the cottage from the front or from the rear.

The woodburner is a specially commissioned heat-store stove - still warms the cottage the day after fire goes out.

Garden small garden to front that gets the sun most of the day, and a small raise patio with picnic bench to the rear with nice views.
Access to field down to river where you have another picnic bench. Parking.
The slate floor, enclosed rear garden, and good local dog walking make this property suitable for well behaved pets. Rural public footpaths just yards away.
We've deliberately kept this cottage simple and rustic inside, so there is no TV and there are traditional oil lamps etc if you wish to use them (electric lights also fitted).
We've even avoided putting in a clock, though there is a CD player/ radio.
Those who can't cope without their gadgets could always bring a laptop to play DVDs.
The woodburning stove throws out an impressive 8kw of heat (that's like 8 bars on an electric fire!) and stays lit overnight, but there is electric panel heating for back-up.
So it's rustic without being uncomfortable!
This property has a generous midday check out time on day of departure.
