The Accommodation

Our first property in NEW ZEALAND! This must be the perfect Honeymoon location - a secluded traditional cottage with a bath under the stars, complete privacy and views across plains to the mountains. Days out include great wine, great beaches, and fantastic 'Lord of the Rings' scenery.

Step back in time and experience the romance of life a hundred years ago here on the Wairarapa Plains. We toured both islands of New Zealand and saw all areas...and this is about the best accommodation you'll find. The cottage sits overlooking a private lagoon amongst a working sheep and beef farm. It is entirely off-grid but completely comfortable - in fact of our 6 month world-tour of all continents it was our favourite place to stay.

There are stunning 360 degree views of the surrrounding maountains, hills and Wairarapa plains. Built of entirely recycled materials the cottage is home to many antique heirlooms. One of the many highlights of this unique little cottage is to able to bathe outside under the miriad of stars! See extra photos of this amazing New Zealand cottage.

In Detail

The cottage:

Outside:

Customer Comments

'It was magnificent coming from the other side of the world to a tiny little cottage like this, congratulations on creating this “little heaven on earth”.

'So heres to the devine bath under starlight with bubbly in our hands and then to our romantic candlelight dinner afterwards'

'Wow, gorgeous cottage! couldn’t stop saying how cute everything was as we walked in the door. It was lovely going to bed when it got dark and waking up to the sun streaming in, with no awareness of time and therefore slowing down to a quieter pace'

'Loved bathing by candlelight while looking over the plains. Heard the morepork, shinning cuckoo and the wonderful skylark'.
