Sleeps 6, priced for 6 - A modernist Irish cottage at Portnoo with beautiful lake frontage
An Teach Dearg (The Red House) is a contemporary home that echoes the Donegal vernacular traditions through a modernist interpretation of the cottage form. It sits just 6 minutes drive from one of the most celebrated beaches in Ireland (Narin/ Portnoo) and has direct private shore access onto Lough Fad where you may swim or use the very simple rustic sauna that comes with the house.
The house has a minimalist, almost Nordic feeling sparse interior with three well-sized bedrooms and two genuinely luxurious bathrooms.
Days out will include the many pristine beaches that the area is famous for, Glenveagh National Park and Slieve League sea cliffs. You can walk to the pub, and there's a choice of food and drink down in the village (6 minutes, 2 miles).

Fantastic weekend away to a beautiful home, in peaceful surroundings. The place was spotless and really spacious for the whole family. Selection of board games available for my kids to play and a love...
