The Accommodation

Sunday Times Top 100 UK Cottages 2010! "A higgledy-piggledy little place, Ty To has been decked out in a modern, uncluttered style. There’s an oil-fired stove in the kitchen, a plasma TV in the parlour and a surprisingly spacious double bedroom for the grown-ups." Sunday Times review (2010).

Ty To is a traditional detached thatch cottage in a peaceful village location near to St Davids in the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park. Rescued from ruin, it has been lovingly restored with a visible rope underthatch, lime and new insulated 'tin' extensions that make it a lesson in the Welsh vernacular. Under a mile from one of the most beautiful coastlines in the UK, you'll find sandy beaches (Abereiddy 1.5 miles), seafood, heritage and happy days in abundance. Extra photos & genuine, unedited guest holiday photos here.

Customer Comments

'We all really enjoyed our time in this beautiful house in this lovely area, exploring and revisiting some of the most delightful towns and beaches in Great Britain. We feel so lucky to have found it! Thank you! Hope to return here.'   ~   Ian, Rebecca, Freddie and Georgie Jones from Herefordshire

'A really wonderful place, we loved the cottage. Beautifully restored and cared for. A great selection of books! We’ll have to come back when it’s cold enough to light the fire!'   ~  Stephen, Kerry and Aled from Oxford

Booking Notes

Restricted headroom in parts upstairs. Cegin Fawr with exposed underthatch can be cold in winter, but this isn't one of the main rooms, and is effectively a corridor that is easily closed off. Dogs welcome, but ask they remain in kitchen (dog gates and bed provided, bring bedding). Travel cot & high chair on request (bring cot bedding)
