This is a little piece of fun in West Wales - a simple (basic even) wooden cabin with a retro interior on a small woodland holiday park where the privately-owned cabins are arranged in cul-de-sacs. This architect-designed Scandinavian cabin provides a funky bolthole with a retro interior. Great for couples with dogs - it even has a special poochie-bedroom! The cabin is insulated and entirely lined in pine, has wall heaters in every room, is partly-double glazed (thermally efficient units), and comprises of:

Decking/Patio: Decking area with seating for two. Note there are cute squirrels who try and sneak into the cabin when you aren't looking!

Lounge: Large Italian leather sofa (new since photos taken), the wonderful 'egg' chair, further armchair, pebble fire, views out to the woods, and a plasma-type TV (no DVD). CD stereo.

Dining table, and a few designer goodies. We had the photo mural made especially. Groovy!

Kitchen: The compact galley kitchen is small but adequate for holiday use and there are plenty of options to eat out locally if you wish.

All appliances (fridge (with small ice compartment), cooker are full size.

Pretend you're back in the 1970s when you pass plates of prawn cocktail through the pine serving hatch.

Laundry facilities available on site as well as iron etc (small surcharge but surprisingly reasonable).

Master Bedroom: Small but so cosy! Pine clad walls and a double bed you won't want to get out of. All bedlinen in the cabin is 100% cotton. Steam iron.

Note there is no room for the travel cot in the bedroom, but you would fit a small moses basket in (you provide), or we provide a travel-cot that can be placed easily within earshot in bedroom 2. Bring own baby cot bedding.

Pooch bedroom: Dog bedroom with own mattress. Please bring own dog blankets. We provide water bowls.

Toilet & Shower Room: Small room that does exactly what it says on the tin, window out to the trees, and one of those heaters that blasts you with hot air when you get out of the shower. Rubberised floor.

What to do at Caban Casita?

Chill out and enjoy the location.

Go for a walk through the Forestry Commission woodland.

Drive to the coast (7 miles to Cardigan) and see the dolphins and seals.

Walk down to the famous Nag's Head pub and enjoy a good meal sitting in the riverside beer-garden.

Visit the local Caws Cenarth cheese farm and see why it has won so many awards, and why Prince Charles is a regular customer!

Learn how to fish on the Teifi - one of the UK's best salmon rivers. We can provide a guide, or just visit the locat salmon smokery to buy some delicious smoked salmon or trout! During spawning season you can watch the salmon leaping up the falls.You will be able to fish between April 1st through to October 7th as the Teifi Trout Association allows, floating, spinning, worming and fly-fishing on the majority of its 24 miles of river banks.
