Sleeps 6+cot Up to 2 well-behaved dogs

Rhiwson Uchaf
Dyffryn Teifi, Ceredigion
Cysgu 6+cot Croeso i Gwn (2 max)

Rhiwson Uchaf enjoys a tranquil Teifi Valley location near Lampeter. This fascinating historic longhouse enjoys wonderful views and is set in 180 acres of rolling farmland that you have free acees to explore. Full central heating, and new oil-fired Rayburn range cooker.

Built around 1710 this detached cottage has many original features. It is split internally into two wings so affords privacy to say, two couples, very well. It also means that when just two stay it doesn't feel too large.

The ancient thatched roof has been preserved under a protective layer of tin since the 1920s, and Rhiwson is now Grade II* Listed for its outstanding architectural interest.

It is well equipped, ideal for families, and has two modern bathrooms. The interior has carpets, wallpapered walls etc which makes it more like a modern home than some of our more 'hard-core' historic interiors.

What we like about Rhiwson is the truly peaceful and beautiful location - a great place to get away from it all. Every window has a pleasant rural view, and there are no roads in sight or earshot. A genuinely tranquil location to 'get away from it all'. Great for families, there is lots of safe outside space for kids to roam about in.

Rhiwson is down its own private country lane that is shared by just one other house, that of the property manager who lives in the converted stables opposite (whose windows virtually all face away). Rhiwson enjoys private gardens (not overlooked), parking etc, and most windows face over open country views.

Country village pub approx 1.5 miles (walkable on quiet country lane, take torch at night), or one serving good food (2 miles). Full central heating throughout. Click HERE to see a map.

The cottage doesn't have broadband but only a 12 minute drive to the Harbourmaster where you can enjoy free wireless Broadband over a coffee/ drink or award-winning seafood.

Cooked meals are available to guests, either to be eaten in cottage or across the courtyard in the home of the property manager. These can be arranged after arrival for a supplement.

Kitchen with cooker, microwave etc.

Lounge with 2 sofas, armchairs, oil-fired Rayburn, TV, DVD, CD player etc.

Dining room seating 6 + high chair. High chair available.

Bedroom 1: Double bed + cot. En-suite.

Bedroom 2: King size bed.

Bedroom 3: Two single beds.

Family bathroom: bath with shower over.

Utility Room: Washing machine, fridge freezer.

Garden (enclosed) with millpond (enclosed), orchard, dining furniture. Free access to 180 acres of private farmland. Double swing for kids.

Please note that a maximum of two small well-behaved dogs are allowed (£10 total surcharge for one pet, £15 if two stay)

What is there to do locally?
