Tŷ Mawr (Great House) in Laugharne is one of the finest Georgian townhouses in Wales. We think it is also the most elegant and best furnished self-catering property in the Principality, and one of the best in the UK.
Built in the early 1700s, Ty Mawr retains a wealth of original Georgian features, hence its Grade II* status. The panelled rooms, original fireplaces and elegant door casement are complimented by an exceptionally important stairwell. A fantastic collection of eighteenth and ninenteenth century antique furniture.
Inside you will find a holiday home that has the feel of a small gentry mansion in the town - crammed full of original antiques, oil paintings and beautiful furnishings. Click here to see larger photos on my facebook profile.
The renovation and restoration of Ty Mawr has been a labour of love, and it shows in the quality and quantity of elegant furnishings.
Stay here if you'd enjoy the experience of staying somewhere that really does feel luxurious, and that you'll know is special from the minute you walk in the door.
There are three large comfortable reception rooms, three large comfortable bedrooms, each of them with a generous en-suite bathroom.
Staying here should, we hope, feel like an indulgence. You have your own heated pool, a choice of roll-top baths, supremely comfortable super-kingsize beds and a wonderful town on your doorstep.
Laugharne is one of the most charming coastal towns in West Wales, and the beautiful estuary, wonderful castle, and romantic boathouse of writer Dylan Thomas are all within a three minute walk.
A short drive will take you to one of the largest sandy beaches in the UK at Pendine - miles of golden sand where Sir Malcolm Campbell broke the world speed record.

The National Botanic Garden of Wales is one of Europe's best gardens. Forget the Eden project - our dome is bigger and better!
