  • This was a beautiful period property, which was nicely furnished. It was also in a great private spot with plenty of sites to visit locally. Would definitely recommend. Laura hattam , BRIGHTON (Australia), 22 June 2015
  • A beautiful little cottage tucked away on the outskirts of a little village. Beautiful views, beautiful rooms and the children loved having so much space to play in! The cottage had everything we needed, the kitchen was well equipped and we even managed a visit from the Welsh Toothfairy who managed to find us! Thank you for a lovely stay :-) Claire holroyd , 14 June 2015
  • I have lost count of the number of UTT cottages we have stayed in. Yet again, this one was in a beautiful part of Wales, the cottage had everything we wanted including lots of character and it was no trouble to book through the UTT website (once we had finally made up our minds which cottage to visit). Helen M, 28 May 2015
  • This was our second stay at Bantwen and both visits were very enjoyable. The cottage is well appointed and warm and comfortable. We did local walking, visited the National Botanical site and enjoyed the cosiness of the wood burning stove. Jenny etches , 28 May 2015
  • Bantwen is a very cosy cottage, perfect for a quiet getaway. Very convenient for the historical gardens of Aberglasney, and Middleton. We really appreciated staying in a cottage so well preserved, in its original features. It is an added extra to a holiday to experience, sleeping "under the thatch"! Judy J, 27 May 2015
  • 'The croglofft really is incredible. Aside from the character and uniqueness, the bed is comfortable and the loft dark, we slept soundly and marvelled at the underthatch roof! We loved the area, batteries have been recharged and a week hasn't been long enough. ' ~ Mark & Emily Lawson 1 July 2014
  • 'Too many wonderful things to mention, truly an original cottage taking one back a couple of hundred years in time. Two days are never enough to sample all that the surrounding villages and towns have to offer. ' ~ Emma Blake 1 July 2014
  • 'Spent a wonderful few days at Bantwen. We found the cottage to be warm, inviting and thoroughly relaxing. This place is wonderful. Well equipped and perfect to stay in even with two young children. Where else can you find a place that provides everything down to the safety gate? Thank you so much for providing such a wonderful escape from everything. ' ~ Andy & Lee Pearson 1 July 2014

Bedroom 1 (upstairs) is a good size and has a king-size bed and pleasant country views to the front. It is accessed by the original stairs which are narrow and very steep - beware. Travel cot (and high chair) available on request.
