The Accommodation

'This cute property, built into a hillside, is bright and spacious despite its subterranean name and runs on solar panels (and woodburning stove). Arched windows supply views of eight acres of surrounding olive groves, plus the Els Ports mountains - and paths behind the house lead into the Cardó Boix mountains. There are bars and restuarants in the village and the beaches of the Costa Dorada are half an hour away.' Rachel Dixon in The Guardian.

This sustainably built underground house takes its strength and beauty from its unique domed shape. The house disappears seamlessly into the landscape - surrounded by olive groves and the majestic mountainscapes as a backdrop - you can't help but relax in this captivating peaceful haven.

The house has a natural, cool, quirky and unique style - upcycled, salvaged materials and bespoke fittings throughout make the interior a fab place to hang out.

From the sandy beaches of the Costa Dorada to the vine groves of the Terra Alta, the Terres D`L'Ebre have so much to offer visitors with a passion for the great outdoors.

From picturesque cycle paths on the Via Verde to mountain walking in the Els Ports mountains, a home to some of Europe's biggest Eagles. Pink flamingos are just the start of the wildlife in the Ebro Delta, with a massive 300 different bird species to be found. Find yourself a rock pool swimming hole in a limestone gorge in The Ports de Beceite.

There are good local restaurants, lively fiestas, and beaches just 30 mins away. The limestone scapes surround you and a swimming hole seems to be made just for you. The Underground House is a great place to hide yourself away or to use as a great base from which to explore the Ebro Valley - you choose! More pics on our Facebook page
