  • The caravan was perfect. In a lovely spot with nearby village. I went with my new boyfriend. We kept the wood burner burning. It is so quiet you can nip to the nearby toilet block in the nude. The ornaments and net curtains are charming. I fell in love. Joanna M, 21 September 2015
  • Simply put... We fell in love with this place from The moment we arrived! The vickers caravan was everything we hoped for.. Comfortable, quirky and very sparkly! The peaceful and stunning landscape made a perfect backdrop and our hosts, nink and David and their extended family, Claire, the three dogs and all the horses made for a truly magical and memorable weekend! We did zero exploring other than a quick trip to Wem for supplies (Co op.. Only 10 mins away) as we were more than happy to simply stay put and relax on the land, (as was Tango, our little jack Russel, who made himself right at home from the off and who received an equally warm welcome from our hosts.... Especially raggy... His little bijon weekend fling!) ! From a practical Point of view, the little bathroom was perfect... Just enough for our needs, spotlessly clean and plenty of hot water. Also, Between the kettle, fridge, microwave, bbq and fire pit, we had no trouble keeping ourselves well fed and watered! We will definitely be back....! We can't wait to experience the showman wagon and also to return to visit nink, dave, Claire and all the animals.... All of whom we equally fell in love with!! This magical hide away has gone straight to number one on our weekend get away list and we are very grateful to nink and dave for allowing us to share in their wonderful homestead!! Thank you!! We can't wait to come back and see you all again!! Claire P, 2 September 2015
  • "Had a very cosy time round the wonderfully warm stove. Very atmospheric in the evening with the lights glowing in the beautiful cut glass mirrors and windows. Felt like we were in fairy land." Fey & Chris from Pembrokeshire 1 July 2014
  • "The caravan is an amazing piece of British design and is a joy to stay in, very comfortable, cosy and totally unique. You would struggle to find a more "bling" place to stay anywhere else in Shropshire!! The location is gorgeous and very quiet and the views are superb, an ideal spot to take it easy for a few days. We will definitely be going back" ~ Ben and Kirsty 1 July 2014

Officially one of the most eccentric places to stay in Britain! Extra photos here of this amazing 'palace on wheels!'. Vickers Waggons are the pinnacle of British caravan design - and made exclusively for gypsy families in the 1950s>1970s. The quality and standard of the fittings is so high they originally cost much more than most people's houses. This splendid restored example, reflecting the best of 1950s streamline design, is smothered in mirrors, cut glass, chrome or stainless steel - you'll probably never see another interior as spectacular as this. Forget cramped Airstreams, this is the way to enjoy a truly unique holiday, and with views like this over some beautiful Shropshire parkland, you won't want to go home. You even have access to a private lake and rowing boat! A simple, modern shower cabin sits alongside with modern conveniences. The caravan is snug and warm all year round with a new and highly efficient wood-burning stove. 4* guest review.
