The Accommodation

Named by Guardian editor as 'best family holiday ever!'. You are welcome to bring your own tent for kids (maximum 4 people can stay including children).

Not just any gypsy caravan, but the very one used in the film 'Wind in the Willows' - see a clip here. Extra photos of how your gypsy caravan holiday may look! here. Perfect for anyone looking for a romantic or unusual place to stay, you get your own organic hay meadow grazed by Black Welsh Mountain sheep, a romany caravan for sleeping, and an off-grid 'eco-cabin' with kitchen, dining and shower-room. You can walk (2 miles) to the famous Walnut Tree Inn (Michelin Star restaurant, but surprisingly reasonable for lunch), or down to the pub, or just stay at home and enjoy the views of Skirrid and the Black Mountains. A short drive and you are in the Brecon Beacons National Park. Enjoy a truly romantic and memorable holiday in beautiful Monmouthshire - an ideal spot for a short-break celebration you'll always remember. Check out the Wind in the Willows blog here . A lovely Sunday Times article on Wind in the Willows here. Anna McDonald from the New York Times has penned this great article on Wind in the Willows too!
