about the property
Rural retreat for families and friends, nestled within the mountains and hills of the Snowdonia National Park, North Wales
This quirky and traditional farmhouse is located at the end of a breathtaking valley in the very heart of the Snowdonia National Park. This farmhouse is set in 690 acres of private land, surrounded by woodland, streams, waterfalls and wildlife - making this the perfect destination for long weekends, family holidays away from the hustle and bustle of every day life (though still close to the coast and market towns of Macynllyth and Dolgellau.) You really have to visit to truly appreciate the surrounding beauty and peace of this place.
The house is authentic, simple and welcoming with limewashed walls and beautiful oak beams, it is much loved by writers, musicians and painters who return regularly for its special vintage atmosphere, and until now it has been a well kept secret!
A recent award was presented to the owners for the 'Sensitive Conservation of Old buildings' by the Campaign for the Preservation of Rural Wales.

Little Gelli Barn and Little Gelli house are part of a traditional rural homestead, and are therefore fairly closely positioned, however each has its own more private area, and there is a stunning and generous landscape to explore in the immediate surroundings.
We welcome dogs, however these need to be well behaved, and extreme care must be taken regarding sheep and local wildlife, as the farmers livelihoods depend on it. Please note that the garden between Little Gelli house and Little Gelli Barn are not fully separated by a fence, and both extend into the nature around.
