about the property

We're pleased to be the only cottage agency representing this beautiful Pembrokeshire cottage in one of the most desirable locations, within walking distance of beaches Abermawr and Aberbach.

Priced per property - one price covers up to 6 staying.

You can walk to two of the loveliest coves in all of Wales from Bwthyn Abermawr (Abermawr and Aberbach). Frankly, if we'd been offered anything in this location we'd have been interested, given that there are so few lets available in this part of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, and no buildings at all down at the beaches themselves. The National Trust own almost all the land around. You'll see why if you stay here - it feels like you've discovered a secret wooded valley down to a beach that hardly anyone knows.

Given its location, this cottage didn't really have to 'work hard' to convince us, so we're particularly delighted that the local owner has done such an outstanding job in the renovation and furnishing of the place - it's the best cottage in this sought-after area and it is so very well cared for. After over twenty years in the business, we know it's rare to get the perfect holiday cottage 'triumvirate' of fantastic location, fantastic quality, and fantastic management.

So, 'Croeso' to Bwthyn Abermawr - you'll find three bedrooms, two bathrooms, and plenty of good walking. Seals on the beach in September, walks through the NT woodlands at any time of the year, and a fire to come home to. Dogs are allowed on Abermawr beach year-round.

customer reviews for Bwthyn Abermawr

The cottage was even better than your description. It was warm, comfortable and very well equipped with such lovely views from all the windows. The garden was beautifully planted and must be gorgeous to sit out in in the summer. Not so great during a wet week in March! I think, though, best of all was the location, such lovely walks from the door, so close to the coast and easy to visit interesting places near by.

We had a great time at this beautiful cottage. There was plenty of room for 5 adults and one little dog. We enjoyed walks and runs along the coast path and relaxing in front of the wood burner. Thank you for a lovely weekend.

We had a wonderful week at Bwythyn Abermawr. The cottage is in a beautiful situation with lovely views into the valley. It has been cleverly refurbished and is very comfortable with a quirky interior using lots of interesting older or recycled pieces. It had plenty of space and everything we needed. The walks to Abermawr are magical and the cottage is very well placed to get to all the other places we wanted to visit such as St David’s and Newport. We would love to stay again!

What a wonderful place! Super clean, stylish and comfortable house in a really beautiful and peaceful location. We’ve stayed in many holiday cottages and this is absolutely one of the best. The short walk to Abermawr beach through the woods alive with bluebells and wild garlic is absolutely magical. Super coastal path walks in both directions - up to Strumble Head lighthouse particularly scenic if you’re feeling energetic. Lovely lunches in Porthgain and at Melin Tregwynt woollen mill. Highly recommended

We have had a wonderfully relaxing holiday at this beautiful cottage. It is well appointed, clean and comfortable. Having the separate boot room was ideal for drying off after a damp walk. Abermawr beach is about a 20 min walk away. Take the National Truat path at the bottom of the hill if you have a large or elderly dog. The stile on the top route was not passable for our spinone. Ed made it easy to top up with logs when needed. The wood burner is different but easy to use and effective. It was especially welcoming on the colder evenings We would definitely stay here again xx

What a wonderful stay. The cottage is beautiful and well equipped for families. Lovely range of walks from the cottage. Pubs and cafes within walking distance. The beach is lovely, full of seals! We had a truly amazing time. Will definitely be back

What a fabulous spot! Great location, with two beaches within easy walking distance, and a more sandy option at Abercastle. 5 mins by car. Really nicely done cottage with what must be a stunning garden in the summer - just going over gently in the stormy weather, but when the sun shone it was a joy. Thanks to all - we will return!

Gorgeous place indeed. Lovely setting to relax in and to explore the surrounding area. Communication from Ed was great, including detailed directions. Cottage beautifully decorated and kitted out, spotlessly clean. Cosy indoors with the fire and heating. Lovely outdoor seating area to watch the red kites, gold finches, woodpeckers and more in the trees. Walk to Abermawr beach really lovely, a stunning bit of coastline. - Gillian

It was a lovely cottage in a fantastic setting: very quiet in the woods and near to a super beach. Great decor inside (beachcomber style) and lovely garden outside. We'd definitely book it again sometime. - Rosalind
