about the property

A romantic shepherd's hut in a secluded area overlooking a wooded meadow

Ideally suited for couples wanting to get away from it all, Y Cwt is a luxury shepherd's hut sited overlooking a wooded meadow. The hut is furnished and decorated to a very high standard with all the comforts of home. Two acres of land and easy access to walks and woodland. Step outside to be at one with the natural landscape or enjoy a barbecue then and return to the log burner for a cosy night in.

Situated up a long private track shared only by the owners and sister property, Caban Llyn on the other side of the lake (out of sight) you'll love this romantic bolt hole.

customer reviews for Y Cwt

Myself and my partner really enjoyed everything about our stay - from the generous free firewood, alpaca nibbles, welsh cakes and gorgeous homemade jams and chutneys to the above-and-beyond hospitality and calmness of Mike helping to tow my little Honda Jazz out of a ditch I stupidly reversed into in the dark upon arrival, this place really is special! The view from all sides of the hut was gorgeous with the diverse surrounding woodland in bud, and containing a huge variety of birds (buzzards, kites, mistle thrushes and coal tits among others). Inside was impeccably clean, and the amenities were all perfectly functional and efficient (a brilliant rainfall shower, and the little wood burning stove that was almost too efficient at heating!). There is a lovely walk you can do straight from the site, along the Severn way footpath which traverses the land boundary at the top of the field above the hut - Alex

We had just a few days, but it was lovely. Well-equipped, very cosy, and utterly relaxing. We loved it.
